Samabaya Samachar is always at its service to well integrate various timely thoughts of co-operation, to well establish the rights of information for the people of Odisha, to encourage in inculcating the co-operative values and principles and above all to uphold the public consciousness about very ideals of co-operation. Samabaya Samachar shoulders the responsibility to embrace write-ups on the thoughts of co-operation and allied subjects, social and historical inscription relating to co-operative movements, research articles, various motivational success stories, concerned news of importance and various notifications, orders issued from time to time by Government, Reserve Bank of India, NABARD, Registrar of Cooperative Societies (O) & Auditor General of Cooperative Societies, Odisha.
OUR ACTIVITIES
The objects of the Union shall be to promote the cooperative Movement in the State of Odisha. In furtherance of this object, the Union acts –
- To facilitate the promoting of the Cooperative institutions and strengthen the member societies through educational avenues.
- To impart member Education Programme to the members, potential members and Board of Directors of the Committee of Management of cooperatives.
- To establish and manage training classes and institutions in cooperative and allied subjects connected with rural development for officials as well as non-officials and prescribe course of instructions of them, conduct examination and award certificates, diplomas.
- To act as a coordinating agency on all matters pertaining to co-operative education and function as a body of expert in relating to education and training.
- To function as a focusing centre on non official opinion on various pertaining to the Movement and for representing it in proper quarters.
- To impart need based Cooperative Training to the employees, office bearers and members of the Cooperative societies of the State.
- Propagates Cooperative message, news, success stories through a Fortnightly News Letter “Samabaya Samachar” and quarterly Journal “Kalyani”.
- Undertakes publication of Profile, Broucher, Circulars of the Cooperation Deptt. and Bye-laws of all types of Cooperative Societies.
- Serves as Co-operative information bureau by way of seminars, workshop, symposium, study circles and conference to discuss the problems of the Cooperative Movement in the State and to develop inter Cooperative relationship and to conduct study tours.
- To promote field studies and researches connected with rural welfare in general and Cooperation in particular.
- To publish books, periodicals, bulletins, pamphlets and other literature on Cooperation and subject allied to rural development.
- To act as a Cooperative Information Bureau for Cooperative Institutions and the public.
